Edward Jowle studied in London at the Royal College of Music International Opera Studio. Roles at RCM included Garibaldo Rodelinda, Steward Flight and Papageno The Magic Flute.
He was a prizewinner of the 2021 Cesti Awards and a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier competition. He is a Samling Artist and an alumnus of the Verbier Festival Atelier Lyrique. For the 2025/26 season he joined Scottish Opera as an Emerging Artist.
Roles with English Touring Opera (2022/23) include Handel (Emireno Ottone, Lesbo Agrippina, Curio Giulio Cesare); Rossini (Antonio Il viaggio a Reims), Donizetti (Gubetta Lucrezia Borgia).
At Longborough he has sung Fairy 4 The Fairy Queen, Starveling A Midsummer Night's Dream, Schaunard La bohème.
Other operatic engagements include Verbier (Colline La bohème); Diva Opera (Guglielmo Così fan tutte); Magnetic Opera (Cecil Maria Stuarda); Pratum Integrum (Adonis Venus and Adonis); Ryedale Festival (Polyphemus Acis and Galatea).
His debut with Scottish Opera was as Superintendant Budd Albert Herring.
