Helen Stanley Suggest updates

Scottish mezzo-soprano.

Helen Stanley studied in London at Trinity College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music.  She also trained in Cardiff at the Royal Welsh College of Music.

As a student in Cardiff her operatic roles included Mozart (Marcellina), Verdi (Mistress Quickly) and Humperdinck (Witch). She also sang Popova in The Bear, repeating the part on the Edinburgh Fringe and at the Walton Estate on Ischia.

She has appeared at the Grimeborn Festival, as Mary in the 2019 UK premiere of Amy Beach's 1932 opera Cabildo - a part she repeated at Wilton's Music Hall in 2021.

Roles with Pop-Up Opera include Mozart (Dorabella), Cimarosa (Fidalma Il matrimonio segreto) and Rossini (Isabella).

She has appeared in performances of several new works with Grimeborn, Tête à Tête Opera and the Helios Collective.
