English mezzo-soprano.

Anne-Marie Owens studied in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at the National Opera Studio.  She made her professional debut with Glyndebourne Touring Opera as Mistress Quickly Falstaff.

Her appearances with Scottish Opera include Wagner (Kundry); Verdi (Azucena, Amneris); Offenbach (Métella); Tchaikovsky (Filipyevna, Marta Iolanta); Janáček (Grandmother Jenůfa); Puccini (Suzuki); Giordano (Countess, Madelon); Humperdinck (Witch); Rachmaninov (Gypsy Woman Aleko); Stravinsky (Jocasta).

With Grange Park Opera she sang Wagner (Waltraute Die Walküre); Tchaikovsky (Larina, Old Countess); Janáček (Grandmother); Britten (Auntie).

Other appearances in UK include Welsh National (Mamma Lucia); Opera North (Frugola Il tabarro).

She created Woman Miss Fortune (Judith Weir) at the Royal Opera House.

European work includes Toulouse (Mrs Grose) and Amsterdam (Brangäne). Roles at other major houses include Wagner (Venus, Brangäne);  Verdi (Azucena, Amneris); Strauss (Herodias) and Mascagni (Santuzza).
