Emily Hodkinson graduated with a degree in Music from the University of York in 2017. She completed a year of postgraduate study in Glasgow at RCS, joining the Opera School in September 2019, under the tutelage of Clare Shearer. Roles while a student in Glasgow included Jenny Diver The Threepenny Opera and Minskwoman Flight.
In 2024 she made her debut at Glyndebourne (Sylviane The Merry Widow). She also sang with Saffron Opera (Cherubino).
Concert appearances include the Hallé; Nottingham Harmonic Choir (The Dream of Gerontius); Kew Sinfonia (Mahler 4th Symphony); Edinburgh Players Opera (Wellgunde Das Rheingold).
In 2025 she joined the company of English Touring Opera.
