Nicholas Cowie studied in Glasgow at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland under Alan Watt and Scott Johnson. He is now on the Masters of Performance course under Julian Tovey.

Operatic roles at RCS include Second Armed Man in Die Zauberflöte and Bearded Man in Les Mamelles de Tirésias. With Opera Bohemia he has sung Benoit & Alcindoro (la bohème) and Marco (Gianni Schicchi).
