Robyn Lyn Evans is a graduate of Trinity College Carmarthen (Stuart Burrows Bursary) and a postgraduate of the Royal College of Music, London. He was awarded the David Ellis Memorial Prize at the 2007 National Eisteddfod of Wales. Student roles included First Soldier (L'incoronazione di Poppea) at the RCM International Opera School. With Opera School Wales he sang Gerald Lakmé and the Prince Rusalka.
Operatic engagements in London include Rodolfo La bohème (English National Opera) and Pinkerton for Raymond Gubbay. With Welsh National he has sung Hervey Anna Bolena and Ismaele Nabucco. He first appeared with Opera North as Malcolm Macbeth, returning for La vida breve and Gianni Schicchi (Rinuccio).
He has also worked with Longborough Festival Opera (Rodolfo); Opera Project (Rodolfo, Rinuccio); Swansea City Opera (Nemorino); Pavilion Opera (Duke of Mantua, Dr Blind Die Fledermaus) and English Touring Opera (Rodolfo, Don Ottavio).
His Scottish Opera debut in 2010 was as Don José, since when he has returned for Alfredo and Macduff.
