Australian tenor.

Edward McKeown was a leading tenor in Gilbert and Sullivan operettas in Australia with the J C Williamson organisation from 1914-17.  He then toured the UK with D'Oyly Carte until 1919, during which time he contracted the dreaded 'Spanish' flu.  in 1920 he toured in South Africa, again in a repertoire of G & S roles.
