Mariinsky Opera, St Petersburg Suggest updates

The Kirov Opera had first come from Leningrad in 1991, returning in 1995. By the time of the third visit, they had reclaimed the old company name, and the city's original name had also been restored.

The company's repertoire was expanding to explore the European tradition - not just The Ring, Lucia and similar staples, but relative backwaters, including Scottish premieres by Szymanowski and Strauss.
