Opera Bohemia, a dynamic new opera company based in Scotland, features recent graduates from the RSAMD, and for this festival fringe production took a fresh look at Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Walter Scott's troubled love story being reinvented in this new production. The performance was sung in Italian with English surtitles.
The musical accompaniment was provided by piano (Laura Baxter) and violin (Amira Bedrush-McDonald). There was also an ensemble of three singers (Deborah Rudden, Jonathan Cooke, and Nicholas Cowie) to back up the soloists.
