Patience is a playful satire on the aesthetic movement, derived in part from the fashion for Oscar Wilde's literary output in the 1880s. The University's Gilbert and Sullivan Society stages this witty operetta. A pretty milkmaid is blissfully indifferent to the passions of two rival poets who idolise her. They are in turn loved by a squad of aristocratic ladies. A troop of Dragoon Guards also become involved as chaos ensues.
