A welcome return visit by the second team of Ukrainian performers = the company from Kyiv will also be here under the Senbla - Ellen Kent management. While the latter plays three cities (Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth), the Dnipro team visit three cities (Dundee, Dunfermline and Perth) as well as Ayr. Sadly, the repertoire for both squads is the same - Madama Butterfly and Carmen. At least none of the venues have the same piece performed twice.
The Scottish leg of the tour includes five performances in the four locations as follows:
Sunday 1 March: Dundee (Madama Butterfly); Mon 2 Mar: Ayr (Butterfly); Tue 3 Mar: Ayr (Carmen); Thu 5 Mar: Perth (Carmen); Dunfermline (Butterfly).
The complete UK tour consists of 48 performances across 42 venues, beginning 3 February in Barnstaple and ending 29 March in Malvern. As well as Scotland they visit centres as far afield as Weymouth, Cheltenham, Eastbourne, Isle of Wight, St Albans, Llandudno, Grimsby and Newcastle. There are in all 25 performances of Madama Butterfly and 23 of Carmen.
